The Short Version #
Virgee is a software development consulting firm. virgee.com is our marketing website. We only collect information you submit through the contact form and a minimal amount of technical data needed to keep the site online and free of abuse. Here's the quick summary:

1. Who We Are #
virgee.com is operated by Virgee LLC ("we," "us," "our"), a software development consulting firm registered in the State of Illinois. We provide custom software engineering, technical advisory, and product design services to our clients.
This policy covers virgee.com only. Our separately branded product FeltIQ has its own privacy policy at feltiq.app/privacy.

2. What Data We Collect #
2.1 Data You Provide Directly #
When you submit the contact form at virgee.com/contact, we collect:

This information is delivered to us as an email through our transactional email provider (Resend). We do not store it in a separate database.

Vercel Web Analytics does not use cookies, does not assign persistent identifiers, and does not track you across websites. It reports aggregated counts only.
2.3 Data We Do NOT Collect #
- We do not use advertising or retargeting pixels (no Google Ads, no Meta Pixel, no LinkedIn Insight Tag)
- We do not set marketing or analytics cookies
- We do not build profiles of individual visitors
- We do not fingerprint your device
- We do not sell any data to anyone, ever
3. How We Use Your Data #
We use your data for these purposes and no others:

If a contact form inquiry becomes the start of a client engagement, the data you submitted is used to prepare a proposal or scope of work, and the subsequent engagement is governed by a separate written agreement.
4. Third-Party Services #
We use a small, deliberate set of third-party services to run the website. Each has been selected because it has strong privacy practices, and each sees only the minimum data it needs.

We do not use any advertising SDKs, third-party data brokers, or cross-site tracking networks.
5. Data Storage & Security #
- In transit: All data is encrypted end-to-end using HTTPS/TLS 1.3.
- In logs: Vercel retains standard server logs for a limited period for security and operational debugging.
- In email: Contact form submissions arrive as email in our business inbox and are retained per Section 6.
- No customer database: We do not maintain a separate marketing database, CRM, or mailing list seeded from website visitors.
No system is perfectly secure. We follow current industry practices for a small-team website, including encrypted transport, scoped access to our email provider, and the CAPTCHA + rate-limiting defenses described above.
6. Data Retention #

When you ask us to delete an inquiry, we delete it from our email and any archives within 30 days.
7. Cookies & Similar Technologies #
virgee.com does not set marketing, analytics, or advertising cookies. The only browser storage that may be created is:
- Strictly necessary items required for the Cloudflare Turnstile challenge to work on the contact page.
- Theme preference (light/dark), stored in your browser's localStorage if you toggle it. It never leaves your device.
We do not rely on cookie banners because we don't place tracking cookies.
8. Your Rights & Choices #
For all users #
You have the right to:
- Access — Ask what data of yours we hold
- Correct — Ask us to fix inaccurate data
- Delete — Ask us to delete your contact form submission from our inbox and archives
- Port — Receive a copy of what you submitted
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@virgee.com. We respond within 30 days.
For EU / EEA / UK residents (GDPR / UK GDPR) #
In addition to the above, you have the right to:
- Object to processing based on legitimate interest
- Restrict processing while a request is being resolved
- Withdraw consent where we rely on consent (rare — most of our processing is based on legitimate interest or performance of a contract)
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority
For California residents (CCPA / CPRA) #
You have the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect and how we use it (this policy)
- Delete your personal information
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Opt out of sale or sharing — we do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising
- Non-discrimination — we will not treat you differently for exercising your rights
Categories of personal information collected in the last 12 months: identifiers (name, email, IP address), commercial information (budget range, project description), and internet activity (IP address, request metadata). We disclose a limited subset to the service providers listed in Section 4 solely to operate the website. We do not sell or share any of this information.
9. Children's Privacy #
virgee.com is directed at businesses and professional adults. It is not intended for anyone under 16 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information through our site, contact us at privacy@virgee.com and we will delete it promptly.
10. International Data Transfers #
Virgee LLC is based in the United States, and our hosting and email providers are US-based companies. If you contact us from outside the United States, your data will be transferred to and processed in the US. For transfers from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we rely on the service providers' Standard Contractual Clauses and supplementary measures described in their respective privacy policies.
11. Changes to This Policy #
We may update this policy over time:
- Minor edits (typos, clarifications): We update the page and the "Last Updated" date.
- Material changes (new data collection, new third-party services): We post a banner or notice on the website for at least 30 days before the change takes effect.
